Washi Tea Caddy
A Japanese hand-wrapped washi paper tea caddy in a blue 'yuzen' pattern.
The yuzen dyeing method was introduced to Japan in the 8th century and was traditionally used to dye kimonos with picturesque designs from everyday life in Kyoto. Today craftsmen have developed Utsushi-yuzen (tracing) on paper that they use for various purposes including wrapping tea caddies. The double seal protects the tea from moisture.
When selecting a caddy, find a size that is not too big so as to store just enough tea to keep it fresh. Available in three sizes.
Size: Small - 100g / Medium - 150g / Large - 200g
