Yunomi Cup

A traditional style Japanese teacup with no handle, in bright red or aquatic blue colour.

This cup is both elegant and robust for everyday drinking. Crafted by Sawa Houzan, the blue glaze is delicately mottled. The red cup is shiny and smooth with an even finish.

The mark of a talented ceramicist is the ability to achieve an uniform appearance throughout their work. Master potter Sawa Houzan took the name of his father when he inherited his kiln, continuing his tradition of creating beautiful ceramics. Together with his son in his hometown of Shigaraki, he makes beautiful pieces skilfully crafted and uniquely designed, and appreciated by many throughout Japan.
