Ceremonial Matcha set
Widely praised ceremonial matcha tea with essential tools, to make a comprehensive set for a new matcha maker, that will last for a long time.
We suggest to look for a quality bamboo and string count when purchasing a matcha whisk. This hand-crafted 50 string small whisk is selected for its suitability for ceremonial matcha tea that is thicker in consistency. The fine strings, curled up at the end, form soft peaks and the high quality bamboo is sourced from trusted farms in Japan, renowned for their performance and durability. The scoop is made using aged bamboo, popular for its anti-mold and non-crack qualities, giving a mature dark brown appearance.
The set comes with a tea-died soft cotton cloth made for drying a pre-heated matcha bowl with hot water. All together nested in a bespoke paper box created by Yijia Yang specially for this set. Decorated with a modest pallet of colours, using textured pink and grey Mitsumata iron oxide papers, handmade in Okayama, Japan. Mitsumata plants are slow growing and for this reason the papers are made with dense fibres making it highly valuable. Tied together with Ginwashi hemp paper and a greetings card with 'Silent Winter' message.
