1st Flush Steinthal Darjeeling

1st Flush Steinthal Darjeeling
1st Flush Steinthal Darjeeling

A 1st flush Darjeeling from the Steinthal estate, one of the oldest tea gardens in Darjeeling.

Made from the youngest, most tender leaves harvested in May, this tea brews an aromatic, floral cup with the sweet muscatel notes one would expect from a high quality Darjeeling tea.

The Steinthal Estate was one of three commercial tea gardens planted in 1852, with some of its existing tea trees dating back to this time. Spread over 1,662 acres on steep slopes, the tea bushes grow shrouded in mist from 2,100ft all the way up to around 5,900ft.

Leaf grade: S.F.T.G.F.O.P.
Brew: Measure 3g (1 teaspoon) per 200ml cup. Infuse at 85°C for 3 minutes.
