Ginseng Oolong

Ginseng Oolong
Ginseng Oolong

A Chinese oolong blended with powdered ginseng and liquorice root, both known for their energising properties.

This premium oolong comes from the Chinese province of Hainan. The youngest leaf sets are dusted with ginseng to create hard olive-green pellets. As they unfurl they release complex, sweet orchid aromas and notes of aniseed.

The first infusion releases the richly flavoured ginseng powder into the liquor. Subsequent infusions have a milder ginseng flavour, and a more floral character.

Brew: Measure 3g (1 teaspoon) per 200ml cup. Infuse at 85°C for 2-3 minutes.
